Amazon.com Product Description The Joshua Roth Hori-Hori digging tool has a stainless steel blade that is very sharp and concave shaped, making it a perfect tool for scooping soil and other materials. The tool was originally designed for excavating aged plantings high in the mountains of Japan, where enthusiasts still find prized specimens for bonsai. This tool is especially valuable in the garden. such as for cutting and scraping soil, weeds, vegetables, and woody plants. The quality carbon steel construction will let you dig, pry, and cut with ease, while serrated teeth along one edge provide a convenient saw for the more difficult tasks. And the semi-sharp edges let you get the work done with less concern about safety. A sturdy vinyl sheath and belt loop ensure your Hori-Hori will always be on hand when you need it. Its thick, natural wood handle provides a secure, comfortable grip to lessen the effort of the task at hand. This product also comes with a 3-year limited manufacturer's warranty.

Best Garden Tool July 26, 2010 Cindy Cooper (Inverness, IL United States) This is the best garden tool I have ever used. It is versatile, tough, and easy to carry around. I use it for weeding, digging small holes, cutting roots, scraping.
Best garden hand tool ever July 12, 2010 Barry Heller I've been using this for years. I only bought this new one because I thought I lost the old one (I later found it). The blade is very strong and allows you to dig in hard ground. I has a serrated side that you can use to saw off roots. We have heavy clay soil here and I could garden without this tool.
Great tool July 11, 2010 D&DG This has got to be the greatest gardening tool ever. Try to break it...you can't.
indispensible April 4, 2010 lemonlip (san diego, ca) Excellent, versatile - I would never go back to a hand shovel. I actually enjoy weeding with this!
Love it! March 28, 2010 Kevin Dunn I love this tool! I don't know how I have gone without one for this many years. I use it for everything, it is well made, fits good in my hand, and is tough enough to digs holes in our hard ground to plant flowers. With all I have paid for all the hand trowels I've broken, I could have bought two! The only complaint I have is that I wish the sheath was of better quality instead of plastic.
