Amazon.com Product Description Paddling a boat can be fun, but it can also be exhausting after a few hours on the water. Enter the Sevylor motor mount, which makes it easy to attach a gasoline motor to your Sevylor boat. The motor mount is easy to install, with a pair of secure arms that fit inside a Sevylor's attachment points. More importantly, the mount works with all gas-motor-compatible Sevylor boats manufactured over the past 40 years. About Sevylor The road from Sevylor's founding in 1948 to its current role as the dominant supplier of a wide range of inflatables--such as kayaks, boats, and towables--is a long one, with plenty of original inventions and innovations along the way. Established in a city suburb of Vitry, France, by electronics engineer Berco Grimbert, Sevylor originally built electrical accessories, with a sideline business dedicated to using its high-frequency welding machines to manufacture PVC consumer goods. The first inflatable to receive rave notice was a small bathtub called the Dou Dou. Perfect for postwar France, the inflatable tub was portable, convenient, practical, easy to clean, durable, and, best of all, affordable. After moving to the picturesque Alsatian village of Buhl, the company expanded into developing valves, pumps, boats, inflatable pools, and a variety of water toys. In the ensuing years, Sevylor first developed a PVC that had "memory"--meaning it could return to its original shape regardless of temperature--and then made history by releasing an inflatable pool mattress with a headrest and circular pockets. In 1986, the company invented the Ski Bob, a real turning point in the evolution of the towables business. Today, Sevylor's innovative designs include tenders, hunting and fishing boats, specialty boats and kayaks, towables, snow tubes, air beds, pool floats, river tubes, swim and sport rings, and more.

Screw Loose July 23, 2010 Paul Walsh Noticed this is a recurring issue with this product. Plastic bracket that secures the telescoping rods broke our on our first voyage while in the middle of the lake. Trying now to jury rig a solution.
Sevylor boat is great -- the motor mount is not.
Hey Sevylor: any suggestions as to how to fix this?
Easy to install, works great. June 25, 2010 Daniel Wallace (Carroll, IA) The mount fits my Sevylor HF360 perfectly and installs easily. It makes my Minn-Kota 30lb trolling motor stable and secure. The only modification I made was too extend the battery cables so I could put my marine battery up front in the boat to help weight distribution.
a must-have June 6, 2010 G. Wilks (Orange County, California) You have to have a mount for any inflatable boat. But when I used it the bracket on the side broke and now it isnt securely on there anymore. Tried to call for a replacement part and haven't heard back for sevylor. I wouldn't recommend this product. Make your own mount or buy and fix this one to make a better quality item.
works great May 25, 2010 Daniel Kerner (Nashua, NH) I bought this poduct about a month back and have had no problems with it at all so far. i dont know why so many people are complaning about it being crapy but it fits perfect with my K105 sevylor caravelle inflatable raft. well i guess some people just have bad luck sometimes
Junk, and not sure what other options there are May 24, 2010 JB I used this with a WEAK Sevylor electric motor, and early into its first use one of the plastic cuffs that hold the pressure screws over the telescoping rod broke. The plastic caps in the rod never stayed in place and one of them arrived shattered anyway. The caps don't matter, but being able to control the telescoping rod is a tad necessary... although this Sevylor motor was so weak that I could have held it in my hand while running. Sheesh...
The back end of the rods didn't fit into the slot on the boat (a recommended Sevylor inflatable boat) well. Not sure if the rod was too large or the plastic fitting on the boat was too small, but eventually jammed it in enough to hold.
Waste of money!
