Customer Reviews:
4 out of 5 stars Pretty good resource   March 18, 2010

This is a pretty good atlas of southern WI. As the other reviewer said about the northern atlas, it is probably geared just a tad more toward hunters/fishermen, but it does include a lot of trails, such as hiking trails like the Ice Age Trail. Of course, some of this info is already out of date, but overall this is a good resource, especially for the roads. And it's a little more detailed as it covers only half of WI. Some of the info in the front, such as on mammals and birds, is a bit too limited and selective and kind of a waste of space for that reason. As someone interested in birds, I think it would have been better not to include some of this kind of stuff if they're not going to go into much detail and not include everything. Overall though a useful guide for anyone exploring the northern outdoors, or just wanting a map that shows a lot more detail (i.e., public lands like state natural areas) than your usual atlas.
