Product Description The 12 Ft telescopic rod collapses down to fit in a backpack or a glove compartment. Telescopic rods are excellent for campers, cyclists, travelers, and convenience oriented angles to fish with. Modern telescopic rods offer the sensitivity you demand and the convenience that you need. Closes to approximately 24 inches with the protective cover installed.
The 12 ft telescoping backpackers dream fishing pole has eva foam fore and butt grips for easy and steady handling. The stainless reel seat and guide feet will last you many seasons of fishing for bass, trout, panfish, catfish and saltwater species as well like sargo, opaleye, kelp bass, fl0under, halibut, white seabass and many many more. The ceramic eyes will ensure that your line will be smooth casting and last as well.

| Customer Reviews: Great! May 30, 2010 Solaceinsorrow I've only used this rod a few times, but so far it has performed perfectly. I use it in salt water, with a Daiwa reel holding approximately 150ft, 30lb line.
If it breaks anytime soon I'll update this review.
Great deal all around November 26, 2009 Reginald A. Finney 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Yes I loved the item. It was just what I wanted and needed, caught quite a few crappie and blue gill the first time I used the pole. The seller delivered fast and as promised.

Cast good. Bought to use for surf fishing. Caught nice shark about 16 inches long on first try. This is medium to lite action and collapses down small enough to carry on my Harley. Nice rod for the money.
Versatile rod January 21, 2009 S. Allen (Florida) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Neat product.
I originally bought the rod for a convenient, light surf rod I could keep in my car.
With a Shimano 4000 size reel and 14 lb test, it worked great for casting baits with a 1 or 2 oz. sinker for whiting, sand perch and pompano (a 3 lb pompano is a real battle, and the rod handled it fine, although I don't recommend loading it out with the 25lb test line it rates at).
Where it really shines, though, is as a GREAT crappie rod. With a Shimano 200 size reel and 10 lb test, it casts light jigs and baits very well, and can be used as a cane pole as well.
It handles bass and about any freshwater fish great, and is much more versatile than a similar 12 foot "crappie rod", designed for "crappie reels" and limited to cane pole type usgae.
The reel seat works fine, but it just "feels" like it will be the problem if and when any problems arise, hence the 4 instead of 5 rating
